Fire Protection System Maintenance

NDFD is responsible for the testing, maintenance and repair of campus fire protection systems.

Monitoring the fire alarms from a central receiving station at the ND Firehouse, NDFD has fire protection technicians that test and maintain the various systems in use.

If repairs are needed, NDFD technicians can quickly diagnose and the repair problems on site.

Automatic fire sprinklers have been installed in all residence halls and apartments as well as the majority of the remaining buildings on campus. NDFD provides for the annual inspections and coordinates the repairs and maintenance of the sprinklers and the other types of suppression systems utilized within critical areas.
