AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator)

G3 G5 Aed Device

An AED or automated external defibrillator, is a life saving device. They are used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

The University of Notre Dame collaborates with Cardiac Science to offer public access AEDs on our campus. There are Powerheart G3 and G5 units located across campus.

The locations and detailed descriptions are available via the Pulsepoint AED App by downloading on iOS and Android
