First Aid Volunteers and FAST
First Aid Community Volunteers
We are always looking for community volunteers that are AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Professionals certified to assist us at events on campus. Volunteers have a chance to be part of our Notre Dame family and community as first aid responders. Our volunteers collaborate with our nurses, doctors, firefighters, police, ushers, and campus partners to treat guests at events and assist them to return to the event or proceed to a higher level of care.
- If you are a trained AHA BLS provider and would like to volunteer at events on campus that include Notre Dame Football, Concerts, Campus Runs, Commencement, and specialty events, please email us.
- If you are not a trained AHA BLS provider and are interested in how to become BLS certified to be part of our volunteer team, please email us.
The minimum age to volunteer with our first aid team is 18 years old. If you're 16 years old, you are eligible to volunteer as a runner or room assistant.
If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering with us, please email Sarah Ingle (single@nd.edu).
FAST (First Aid Student Team)
As a first aid volunteer, a student-run organization working under the supervision of the Notre Dame Fire Department's Medical Outreach program, FAST provides a viable and necessary link in providing care to students, faculty, and visitors.
As volunteers trained in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals, our primary function is to provide first aid coverage for campus events at Notre Dame. Events that we cover include home football games, men's and women's basketball games, hockey games, in addition to the Holy Half Marathon, Bookstore Basketball, Late Night Olympics, SUB Concert, and various other campus events.
We are entirely a volunteer organization and receive no monetary compensation. If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering with us, please email Sarah Ingle (single@nd.edu).
